Film Review
The question of ‘Who’s Alive, Who’s Dead, Who Will Come Back’ cannot be separated from the question posed at the end of Infinity War about finitude and generic extinction. But the attempt to constantly occlude one question in the (the name of the) other, without being the actual source of evil, is at least the source of constant avenging (ressentiment) that the critic has to practise on the film in the moment of appraisal. The film cannot be taken to be ‘lucky’ in itself; it is to be avenged.
