Matt Taibbi made some comments about the anger of Joe Biden:

It was impossible to mistake the tone of Joe Biden’s announcement of a vaccine mandate last week. During the Trump years all the anger was directed at Trump or Trump-like figures. That is, newcomers. They broke the Goldwater rule constantly. The rule says not to diagnose on remote. Because nobody should be diagnosed or labelled on remote, if at all. But for four years one could call anyone anything with the safety of cultural distance (open letters, cancel culture, and so on). When Biden announced the mandate in the way Taibbi describes all the anger was projected at a population of unvaccinated people. They constantly said ‘Trump is enraged’ but he never was, we never quite saw that. Biden seems enraged and it’s evident, but his ‘angry dad vibes’ are welcomed. Goldwater silently back in place.
